Mercedes-Benz are a global sponsor of the event and we worked closely with them to deliver on all aspects of their sponsorship. This included handling over 200 hospitality guests, overseeing the design and build of several exhibitions, co-ordinating all the logistics and operations with over 60 cars being used for the players and VIP’s service.
Mercedes-Benz Ambassador, Roger Federer, signed off from competitive tennis during a densely-packed weekend of elite action at the Laver Cup 2022 but found himself on the losing side as Team World secured their first triumph at the 5th time of asking.
Team Europe stormed to a 14-1 rout this time last year to clinch their fourth consecutive Laver Cup. This year, a thrilling comeback from Team World, captained by John McEnroe, on Day Three saw Frances Tiafoe become the hero of the hour.
While Tiafoe stole the headlines, the real moment of the Laver Cup, and of a generation, came on Friday night when Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer played in his final ever match. It was an emotional but fitting tribute to one of the all time greats of the game.
