NTT DATA and The Open 2018

For the sixth consecutive year, we were retained by NTT DATA to plan and deliver all aspects of their ‘Open’ sponsorship activation.

This year we introduced some ground-breaking technological innovations to the iconic NTT ‘Wall’ – located at the very heart of the Spectator Village. The fan-engagement experience was transformed with the synchronisation of the data feed with the live TV broadcast; by the introduction of new 3-D data ‘fly-through’ graphics; and by a massive increase in the physical size of the LED screen, all combining to produce a truly stunning visual experience for the 200K spectators attending the Championship.

Aside from ‘The Wall’ our role also included the design and production of an exclusive double-decker NTT DATA hospitality pavilion, that welcomed over 200 VIP guests over the four days, and included a surprise ‘guest-appearance’ by golf legend, Tom Watson. We were also tasked with delivering a full social media campaign (including on-site video production and editing); overseeing and the end-to-end delivery of NTT DATA’s International VIP hospitality programme; and  assisting the NTT DATA R&A team to privately showcase a stunning new technology showcase to their VIP guests in their hospitality pavilion.
