Mercedes-Benz Patrons Day at Royal Liverpool GC

In June 2023 iMedia alongside our partners at The R&A and Patron of The Open Championship, Mercedes-Benz, organised a once in a lifetime experience at this year’s 151st Open Championship venue – Royal Liverpool Golf Club.

Mercedes-Benz guests, as well as guests from the mainstream and digital media, joined the two-time winner of The Open Championship, Padraig Harirngton, who hosted our guests. He gave a golfing masterclass followed by some training tips to the guests before seeing them off on the 1st tee and playing the par-3 13th with each group.

Guests had arrived the previous day for Welcome drinks and dinner. The following day after breakfast guests were chauffeured to Hoylake in the Mercedes-Benz Fleet – where they met Padraig Harrington over coffee.

The R&A and Royal Liverpool hosted a wonderful lunch, followed by golf surrounded by the infrastructure of stands and leaderboards for The Open in July. That evening the R&A hosted a dinner and prize giving before Padraig Harrington and Andrew Cotter gave an insightful and enjoyable Q&A session.
